What You'll Do
- Developing and managing a database for carbon projects in peatland and mangrove ecosystems.
- Conducting research and analysis on the ecological aspects of carbon projects in peatland and mangrove ecosystems.
- Identifying and documenting mangrove and peatland plant species
- Supporting research and development of carbon accounting methodologies for peatland and mangrove restoration projects
What This Role Needs
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with wetland-based carbon projects, especially in peatland and mangrove ecosystems, including carbon sequestration, biodiversity, and ecosystem services.
- Understanding of wetland ecology, hydrology, and soil science, with knowledge of carbon dynamics in wetland environments.
- Experience with research methodologies and data analysis tools is preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
